I recommend to all my friendsShorts are good for working out but does not hold IPhone 13 Pro securely. I ended up having to hold my phone for my 5K run because it almost bounced out of the phone pocket.I like these shorts because they are comfortable downstairs and don’t feel like they are cutting into my skin which some shorts do. However, the built-in underwear is a little loose and when I work out I have to wear separate underwear because they are not great for cardio.Like these a lot. Compression shorts run large. First order was a medium, bought a second in a small, a better fit.I had been looking for some affordable mid-length shorts for running: didn't want 7 inch ones but don't like the really short ones either. A required element for me is a small pocket with a zipper in the middle of the back to keep my key in. These seemed to fit the bill perfectly, especially since it seems hard to find shorts with the key pocket I like.I originally ordered the blue shorts and love them. I like the way they look, they are light weight material and after wearing them 10 times, they seem to be holding up to the wear and tear just fine. I would have given them 5 stars. They may not be the same quality as name brand shorts but they are perfect for me at the price. They don't have any reflective marks on them, but since I run on trails, I don't have to worry about drivers seeing me.So, I happily ordered the black pair. The first pair I received had the bottom edge of the lining sewn into the upper hem. OK, no problem. Return and get another pair. (I have Prime so no cost to me.) The second pair I received did not have the zippered pocket in the back but rather the fold over pocket. (See pictures.) I now have to send them back again. Once more, no cost to me, but I don't want to use my time having to send back shorts multiple times. This pair gets one star. Therefore, the 3 star rating. I like the shorts and would be more than willing to buy them. However, I don't want to have to go through multiple shippings to get a good pair. So if you don't mind a prolonged process and have Prime, then I would recommend the shorts.BTW, the small pocket on the back is not big enough for a cell-phone.I am 6 feet tall, weigh 170 lbs, 32 in. waist - ordered the medium and they fit perfect.I'm 5'11" and 218 pounds. The recommendation was Large for an individual 6' 0" and 215 which is darn close so I went with it. They fit OK standing and walking but were a bit tight for sitting, bending, climbing, squatting, etc. I would say their Large would be more suited to someone under 200 lbs, maybe even 185. I also wasn't a fan of the way the liner sticks out below the short and the fabrics cling together causing the short to ride up. Returned them and ordered the TSLA running short without a liner. The liner is essentially a pair of stretchy boxer briefs. If you're good with that level of support when you run, these might be the shorts for you. The legs of the liner aren't aggravating, but the thigh phone pocket they're so proud of has nothing holding you electronics in. My phone fell out onto the road in the first ten steps. There's another pocket at the waistband in the center of the back. It holds the phone securely, but it does jostle as I jog. There's a flat drawstring that ties and holds, and side pockets for looking cool with your hands in your pockets - they're not much else use, because they don't have a means of closing them.I bought a gray pair to try. The liner isn't worth the lack of support if it doesn't hold my phone in that snazzy thigh pocket. Since the liner isn't worth it, neither is the moderate (5") length to cover it, but the material isn't so heavy as to be annoying, either. I'm not sending them back, but I am looking for something different.I bought these for running and I especially like the built-in tights. I wear boxer briefs anyway so these shorts are doing two jobs for the price of one. They are very light weight and comfortable and the leg pocket on the inside shorts is what really drew me in, BUT there is no hole for the speaker wire if you plan on wearing ear buds while listening to music on your phone. I thought there would be a hole to run the wire up the leg to the waistband or something but (as far as I know) there isn't, so I may just rip or cut a small hole so I can listen to music while running, because the leg pocket would only be doing one thing and that's to keep my phone from bouncing around. Otherwise, these are very nice shorts and the length is just right and the weight is ideal for runs. Maybe as an improvement someone will think about making a hole to run the wire up inside the shorts so you can plug in and run....
