Anthem Athletics Hyperflex Men's 5-Inch Workout Shorts - Breathable Gym & Cross-Training Shorts for Running, Weightlifting & Active Lifestyle

Having had a few pairs of shorts from this company which worked out well in the gym and for biking and jogging as well, I decided to get these. I like the style and quality. My only problem, which may be unique to me, is that they ride up in the crotch like shorts on a fat kid. I'm not a fat kid, though. I do have thick legs and not a lot of space in between. These are the shortest Anthem shorts I've worn (5"), and the lightest material, it seems. Those might be factors. The other pairs I've had were 7" and the material seems thicker. Nor do I have this problem with any other shorts or pants, in eneral. I really like these, otherwise. I'll wear them a couple more times to see how it goes.Just ordered these shorts for weighlifting and really like them. They're flexible and fairly lightweight. I have some shorts that are lighter but these meet my expectations. I will probably buy more of these in the future.Wish they were always on sale. But 10/10 qualityI’ll start by saying that five minutes after putting on my first pair I ordered another pair.Very comfortable! Great waist stretch.The color selection could be better. Two different blacks and grays but where’s the tanCream khaki gold side of things.ButIt’s the pockets and length that are major letdown here.Their description says the 5 inch inseam will fall 3-4 inches above your knees. Sure - if you’re 6’1 or more . Back on planet earth where some men are 5’7-5’9 say , these fit right at your kneecaps. If you like your shorts uh ahem short then plan on a tailor to shorten these.The pockets !!This style has the angled side entry - good concept .Somebody at Anthem get a cellphone . A small one. Drop it in the pocket and take a long fast power walk - the phone falls sideways and goes whack thwack whack against your leg !Years ago I bought some champion shorts that had a - ready for this !- dedicated side long and narrow phone pocket - genius!Recently my Under Armour five inch shorts have a dedicated inner phone pocket - no thwack whack after every single step !!So - how about a side dedicated cell phone slot - end the long deep too wide pocket where your phone falls sideways and then just ridiculous bounces …Waist ban fits tight and keeps everything in place! When I put my phone in the pocket it doesn't pull the shorts down even when I'm running. I'm happy with my purchase and the shorts were a fair price.Just wore these shorts for first time. Good fit, nice fabric, zippers function well.It would be great if Anthem would add a style having a rear zipper pocket also bringing the number of zipper pockets to three..Wish I had these years ago, these shorts are comfortable,much cooler than previous Under Armor workout short. My other workout shorts were to long, I was always rolling up waistband during my workouts. I discovered these Anthem shorts on Amazon, ordered a pair, had read other reviews to order a size larger. I’m 33” waist, I ordered Large, and also went with 5” inseam vs 7”. Once they arrived, tried on and fit me perfect. Once I started working out,squats, elliptical,bench press,etc. After 3 days of workouts, I had to order 2 more pairs. Now I find myself wearing these around the house as my casual shorts. These might be to short for some people, according to other reviews, but I am very comfortable with 5” inseam length, much cooler on my legs when I’m working out and comfortable.That’s feel great the material itself is a bit heavy but they don’t fall down during activity. They won’t work for what I bought them for but otherwise they are a wonderful pair to add to my collection. Still haven’t decided if I’m retribution only because they won’t work for ultramarathonsnot sure if anyone mentioned before me but these are made of some stretchy material. its not very breathable i imagine as the material is thick .. hold it up to the light and yoiu can barely see light pass through so its probably going to keep sweat inside., its not lightweight enough for what im looking for. Design is nice though, pockets are large and zippers good quality.
