Very good quality and comfortable. An outstanding bargain at the current blowout price of around $20 (Pearl Izumi's MSRP was $90, and the Amazon cost was $76 when I put it on my wish list earlier this year). They don't look too bikey, so you might not be embarrassed to wear these as casual shorts -- there's no spandex crotch doodad like some bike baggies. These are really well made, better quality than my Nashbar Lancaster shorts (good design, with deep pockets, but so-so manufacturing quality). Soft mesh fabric inner liner, soft smooth wicking poly fiber outer shell. Fits well even with my skinny gams. One zippered pocket, large enough for a wallet and keys. The other two pockets are just so-so -- not really deep enough to hold anything securely. And the non-fastening pockets are made of a mesh fabric that may snag or wear easily. Good enough for holding a few dollar bills, lens cleaning cloth, gum or anything you don't mind getting soggy after a long ride.Wore these for a 40 mile ride the day they arrived. The legs have just enough room to allow unrestricted leg movement for a casually paced ride (10-15 mph) but not enough to catch air and balloon out. Nothing to rub you raw.The Pearl Izumi shorts do have their MTB 3D faux-chamois liner. I removed the padded liner -- it just snaps out. Champion boxer/briefs with wicking fabric are more comfy to me.They're a little baggy for the size. I will use them as a backup. They fit more like a bathing suit from ten years ago than modern cycling shorts. The cinch mechanism for the waist is a little weird and I wish they'd used elastic instead. It creates looped out sections of material at the waist if you tighten them at all. The good news is that the liner is not totally useless like with most mtb shorts. I still didn't use the liners but rather used road cycling shorts. The liners will also be kept as backup, whereas I usually just throw included liners in the trash. For the price I paid, like $40, they're good. A small tear in my bike seat wore a hole straight through in like 45 minutes of riding, though.Great for everyday rides, not for hot days- hip area in pants not comfortable and ventilatedAs I expected. Great ones. I sould recommend it. As I expected. Great ones. I sould recommend it. As I expected. Great ones. I sould recommend it.Got these for a steal @ $20 for two pair. I'm a large guy, 250 lbs, 6' 1" and the XXL fit perfectly.Awesome shorts! Can customize the fit with velcro tabs on the inside and includes a decent pad. Would buy again!I love the feel and comfort of these shorts.
